Has Roman Abramovich Gone Soft On Football?

We at Bodog Towers are an empathic lot, we don't sit in our ivory tower and cast aspersions (not on a Friday - it's too warm in the office and the post lunch after glow is kicking in. Aye our grey cells stay razor-sharp at all times but then you know that. But our prod, poke and Mickey take filter gets turned down every now and again.

This is one of those times as we sit and ponder the fate of Avram Grant after Chelsea's painful near sniff of Brasso from that Champions League trophy before it got snatched away by grubby hands. What will Roman Abramovich do next? Where is Avram (who still hasn't managed to live outside of cheeky Portuguese ex manager Jose Mourinho's shadow) to go? Is he giving himself a gut-twisting hernia just thinking of his fate? He said:

"I am not thinking about that. All I do know is that I will not be very happy for the next few days at least."

Perhaps he is he hoping that the charms of Roman's squeeze Dasha are enough to evade the henchman's axe?

Dasha daughter of Russian businesssman (and alleged Croatian gun supplier) has Roman by the short and curlies and he loves it of course, we would too. The rumours are rife that she is slowly extricating him from his beloved football club and luring him into high society, swanning around and buying major works of art to the tune of £60million! (That's one heck of a b*** j** Dasha!)

Mind you if you look at Roman's marked absence from the last 10 or so Chelsea games - it could all be true.

Any road back to the real stuff. Bet on the Championship play-offs this weekend. We're sure Hull and Bristol will do their best to entertain! Check out Bodog's Championship odds.
