First Net Buster In Moscow?
The Bodog Sports has published some blinding markets on the upcoming Champions League final between Manchester United and Chelsea but among the most intriguing is the one titled "First Goal Method".
With aerial threats from the likes of six-footers Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic the 4/1 quote for "header" could well be worth an interest. And let´s not forget that Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs have weighed in with plenty of scoring headers in the past despite their Lilliputian statures.
It´s a great shame there isn´t an "in off the jacksie" category because I´d want my mortgage on Frank Lampard who has the advantage of having twice as much surface area to get on the ball.
A goal from "inside the penalty box" is the obvious 5/6 favourite but in a season that has so much drama and twists and turns I´m very tempted by the odds of 25/1 for it to be an "own goal".
I can just see David Hasselhoff lookeylikey Michel Ballack making a bollocks of a goal line clearance and heading into his own net. Shizer!
Ronaldo fans will no doubt be interested in the "Direct from free-kick or corner". The Portuguese ace has been as deadly from dead balls as he has from inside his jacuzzi this season.
Shot from inside the penalty box 5/6
Shot from outside the penalty box 10/3
Header 4/1
Penalty 9/1
Direct from free-kick or corner 18/1
Own goal 25/1
No Goal 6/1
