Fergie Ready For Moscow

Sir Alex Ferguson must surely feel like a dog with two dicks right now. He just can't do any wrong after winning the title race over Wigan Athletic at the weekend, the 2-0 win made it a tenth title win for the club. Now it's all eyes on the Champions League as Man U square up to Chelsea who could only manage a 1-1 draw to Bolton.
This is obviously a massive morale boost for the squad who will hope to trounce all over Chelsea on May 21st. Fergie said:
"We are bouncing into that final now. If we'd lost the title it would have been different. If this team goes on now and wins the European Cup, it will be my best ever. If we win the European Cup I think you would have to put this group of players right at the very top of those I have worked with. It is an emerging team. Normally, the average age of teams who win the European Cup is about 29."
He's not the only one with a smile on his face however. Chief executive David Gill is willing to pump cash into the club too. He said: "We will be in a position where, if we can improve it, we will. It is the best league in the world so if we want to continue to be at the top we have to make sure we look at the squad and improve it."
All good news as Fergie will be able to splash the cash on new young signings. He added:
"We have a lot of young players, but you also need experienced players like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Edwin van der Sar." With that in mind he is more than ready for Moscow. "Next week we'll be ready for Moscow. We need to make the most of the occasion as they don't come around very often and hopefully we'll win the Champions League."
