David Beckham On Sesame Street

What's big and yellow, and talks with a squeaky voice? No, it's not David Beckham it's his new pal Big Bird from Sesame Street. But you may be forgiven for the confusion as the two puppets have tonnes in common. Becks has finally realised that life at LA Galaxy isn't what he thought it would be and we can only assume that he would like to plunge a metaphorical axe in Posh's head for encouraging him to waste the best of his footballing years in pursuit of life in La-La Land.

Becks may be on a winner with the whole kids' sports academy thing, and getting God Squad lover Tom Cruise in on the act is no bad thing (except when he wants to take over!!) But time to evolve the Beckham brand.

He was doing his thing to impress the entertainment world by filming an episode of Sesame Street with Elmo. Alas Big Bird was having her talons manicured! The show is a  Jim Henson creation has been going since 1969, hugely popular this could well be a smart move for the family orientated Beckham. A source said:

"He loves dealing with kids and thought it would be a great way to get through to them. He has developed a great understanding speaking to children with his own boys and through his coaching at the Beckham soccer schools. He had a great time filming it, a real laugh."

It was David's job to teach Elmo (that's the red fluffy one) a new word. Beck's word was "persistence" (quite a big word for him too) he went on to explain to the millions of US kids what it meant to him.

Cue the Beckham thought bubble… Axe-wielding former football aces lands blow on lollipop head Victoria Beckham.
