Bodog Waterford Open Day 1

We said that we would keep you posted on the progress at the Bodog Waterford Open in Ireland, and here we are as good as our word. This a lowdown of the events at the close of Day 1.
Proceedings began at 7.30 am sharp with 141 players entering swelling the final prizepool to just over €70k (with prizemoney to be allocated today).
As always with well structured events, we witnessed an iffy start to the day's play and local man Keith Nolan was the first casualty, it took almost two hours for the first elimination to happen. By end of play at 3 am 29 more players had followed suit, including Colin Quarry and Mick McCloskey.
That said there were plenty of players to keep an eye out on with Bodog Sponsored player, Brian O'Keefe being one of the big shots on the radar!
112 players make it to Day 2 with Simon McHechie being the monstrous chipleader with an impressive 18,883 stack average for today's action.
Join us for more updates today, because as you all know poker is an unpredictable beast and anything is likely to happen! Don't forget to join the Bodog Reporting team who'll be following all the action and the Bodog Girls (well who can blame us, they're stunners!)
We told you it would be good! To get in on the action check out Bodog Poker!
