 Wino Under House Arrest

It's been a few weeks since Beat dipped its toes into the drug addled, diseased world of our favourite pipe cleaner. At the weekend we saw Amy Winehouse back on stage and from what we can make out back allegedly on just about everything she was on before.

Looking like she'd been dipped in a vat of St Tropez and then spray painted with a can of Rust Orange car paint from Halfords she gave a shambolic Glasters performance before being flown back by helicopter to hospital. She also managed to elbow a fan in the face, and then go back and punch him for either touching her 'pushed up to within an inch of her chin' boobs or daring to suggest Blakey is a bit of a git that doesn't deserve much sympathy.

Why anybody would want to grasp the Winehouse breast is beyond us so we can only assume it was a reference to her Blakey. Amy promptly checked out and it now appears that, shock horror; she ain't that keen on rehab and has been put under house arrest by her record label.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine she admitted that she had never made a genuine attempt to beat her addictions, despite checking into a clinic earlier this year.  Did it take an interview for people to suss that? Amy's bosses have now set up 24-hour security around the star's home in a bid to protect her from bad influences.

"Effectively, Amy's been put under house arrest," a source told The Mirror. "She is being monitored by 24/7 surveillance to make sure she's behaving herself and keeping out of harm's way. There is also a security guard stationed outside her house around the clock to vet any undesirables. From now on there'll be no more waifs and strays - or fans - coming into her place, wreaking havoc. Crucially, they don't want known drug dealers coming anywhere near her. Amy has to give them names of people expected. Anyone who turns up uninvited will be sent packing. It's for her own good."

So that pretty much means that nobody will be allowed into Amy's flat and she won't be allowed out unless she's guarded by dad Mitch and a team of mercenaries. Good luck with that guys and watch out for her trying to lose you by hiding herself behind the nearest lamp post.

Amy recently checked out of the London Clinic, where she received treatment for emphysema, not a particularly prevalent disease amongst twentysomethings….

In other alleged druggie news, The Sun has reported that Pete Doherty submitted a picture to a children's art exhibition painted in his blood. The organiser said "We can't think we will get many postcards painted in blood, not unless one of the children had a nosebleed while doing theirs."
