Leona Lewis Tops US Album Charts Now

Well who would've thought that Simon Cowell's favourite protégée, Leona "Bleeding Heart" Lewis would be top of the US charts? After all that vomit-inducing PR spin on the Oprah Winfrey Show, there was only one predicted result for Leona.
Must be gutting for the likes of Kylie Minogue who tried and failed to crack the States, twice! Mini popstrel Minogue seemed to have made all the right noises - from performing on reality TV shows (although we reckon dressing up as a gimp was going a bit too far) to telling lesbian icon (debatable but the search engines love it!), Ellen De Generes that she was mis-diagnosed with cancer.
Then her album flops - now we're not graduates of the School of the Bleedin' Obvious, but maybe it's crap? But being the hot-blooded young Vikings that we are, we don't care about that! But we would like to offer our manly shoulders for Kylie to cry, dribble or drool or even wipe her snotty nose on!
Now Leona has hit the jackpot and is going to be the first British woman to debut at No. 1 on the U.S. album chart this week. This comes just weeks after her song "Bleeding Love" hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart. The last Brit to do that was eco-queen and gardening expert Kim Wilde (and yes we still would - more cushion for the pushin' and all that!) in 1987 Supremes' cover "You Keep Me Hangin' On."
"Bleeding Love", from the album "Spirit," is reckoned to sell more than 205,000 copies by the end of this week. Quite a nice little earner for Simon Cowell who signed Lewis to Syco Records after her X Factor win in 2006!
