Amy Winehouse Book Deal
It's been a bit of a week for Amy Winehouse, she's been nominated for three Ivor Novello songwriting awards despite not having done anything for a while.
'Love is a Losing Game' and 'You Know I'm No Good' have both been nominated in 'best song of this year' category. 'Rehab,' which won an Ivor last year for 'best contemporary song' is now nominated for best-selling British song.
So, she may be winning songwriting plaudits but there's also been talks of penning a biography (well not penning they'll probably get a ghost writer in for that we shouldn't wonder). Wino and jailbird hubby Blake Fielder-Civil have been offered a cool million to spill the beans about their marriage.
The Sun reports that Winehouse is in talks with Penguin Books to negotiate the deal, but like a true junky Blake has already agreed to the deal. A friend said:
"They are prepared for it to be warts and all."
As well as wanting to write the book Amy wants to make her Bond theme track a timeless classic in the style of Shirley Bassey. A source said:
"While she has been recording in Henley-upon-Thames all she kept saying was how she is desperate to nail this track so it will be a classic like Goldfinger."
