Is Bigger Better?

The concept of taking casinos off shore is by no means a novel one, so the fact that a new floating casino is to open in the summer won't come as a shock.
The Horseshoe Casino Hammond with its 108,000 square feet gambling floor will float on the shores of Lake Michigan. It will also house a theatre and a restaurant. The difference with this mega-structure is that it will be the world's biggest floating casino and will live a stone's throw away from the second largest, Blue Chip 2.
The development will incorporate the Hammond Yacht Club and will take around $485 million (£245 million) to complete. That is of course unless it freezes into the lake like it did last year when work on the site first began.
