Costner's Casino Battle
Well although it's not strictly online gaming but we still like to keep abreast of the land based casinos and nothing excites us more than celebrity involvement.
Actor Kevin Costner has been allowed to keep his casino Midnight Star in Deadwood, South Dakota. The state judge had issued an order appointing a trustee to liquidate the casino along with its sports bar and restaurant.
Judge Warren G Johnson had already ruled that Mr Costner could have pay close to £78,500 ($153,649) to his former partners Francis and Carla Caneva at the casino in order to become the sole owner of the Midnight Star.
The previous managers who had a 6.5% stake in the business were sacked by the 'Robin Hood' star in 2004. In 2006, the state Supreme Court said the actor could be forced to sell the casino if he refused to pay up.
