Sam ‘Tricky’ Trickett has not been on the professional poker circuit for long, but in a short time he has managed to rack up ten cashes and three first place finishes, including last weekend’s Leg 6 of the GUKPT at Luton.

At 22, he is the youngest winner of a GUKPT event and his prize money of £106,000 is the second highest of this season’s tour.

376 players had coughed up the £1,000 buy in and the nine player final table was graced with the impressive presence of dart’s pro Wayne Mardle.

Ricky Hatton comes across as one of the most likeable sportsmen you will ever meet. He´s worked hard for his dough, he´s taken some painful punches and deserves every penny he earns from boxing.

His wisecracking, down-to-earth nature appeals to the common man more so than any present British sportsmen I care to remember.

But his decision to axe long time trainer and mentor Billy Graham is a shocker.

"The Preacher" has been right by Hatton´s side during the good and bad times in a memorable 11-year association and you have to question his motives for ending that.
