25 minutes. 25 minutes. That’s how long I spent away from watching the morning’s Test match action, and in that time all hell broke loose. England were cruising at 50-odd without loss when I stopped watching, and when I came back? Three wickets down for 80-odd. Strauss – hit wicket. Hit wicket? Isn’t that the kind of thing that only happens in school playgrounds up and down the country? Seemingly not. Vaughan. Out first ball. First ball! A golden duck! And then, Kevin Pietersen, out almost immediately. What a shambles.

We’re a very caring lot here at Bodog Beat UK, we don’t like to see anyone suffering least of all our favourite side show freak, Amy Winehouse. So you can imagine that since we’re tighter than a fish’s arse when it comes to hanging with the Wino, we’ve had all manner of calls to the Bodog phone.

After a long hot day at work there´s people from certain professions you really wouldn´t want to be stuck in a faulty lift with.

But given the choice between a pongy fishmonger or a football club chairman I´d take eels over egomaniacs seven days a week.
