Rafael Nadal Ready to Paste Federer At Wimbledon 2008

What a bleeding bunch of kill-joys we are, no sooner has Rafael Nadal scored a blinder by beating the pants off Roger Federer at Roland Garros and bagging his fourth French Open win, that we’re getting the bleeding knives out. Like a bloody bunch of old women prattling on about how he’ll never do the same on grass - nothing like a bit of encouragement! (and a sack of sour grapes.)

Well it’s a good job that the Spaniard has faith in himself because he’s ready to paste Federer at Wimbledon too. He said:

"If I can have a very good result here it is going to be very important for me. It’s going to be very important in the first matches. …

Deep Stack Tournament - Concord Card Casino

Deep stack tournaments are always worth a look and they are a good example of the online game changing the way poker is played in casinos. If you have time to invest in a Deep Stack, they can reward patience and knowledgeable betting. It can also be relatively easy to capitalise on the mistakes of the rookies.

Take betting. A lot of players forget that it so much harder to take a person’s whole stack in the early parts of the tournament. Others over play their hands and find themselves against a more patient player who is sitting on a monster.

Here’s a hand to illustrate the importance of adapting your betting – you are dealt aces or kings in early position. …

Daniel Craig Chops Finger

The Bond film with the dodgy name appears to be jinxed after another on-set accident during the filming of Quantum of Solace. We’ve had the saga involving Mark Ronson pulling out of recording because the allgedly crack-addled Amy Winehouse is too, er too allegedly crack-addled to record anything and now a series of accidents has hit the set – and all this before Friday the 13th tomorrow.

It’s been revealed that Daniel Craig sliced off the top of one of his digits and had to be rushed to hospital near the Pinewood set.

Why Bad Lads Rule!

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
Salma Loves A Bad Lad

Aye the lasses can’t seem to get enough of a bad lad, look at Natalie Imbruglia and her new love ex-con American nightclub boss Chris Paciello, who spent seven years behind bars after saying ‘ I do’ to charges of murder and armed robbery in 1993. But the Aussie stunner doesn’t seem to be bothered in the least by his past and said:

"We go out when I’m in LA. He’s sweet and funny, but I don’t want to say any more than that."

It’s probably the total u-turn from ex hubby of five years, Daniel Johns. Never mind Nat maybe you could get new bloke Chris to send a horse’s head over to him if he gets shirty!

But turning a …

Chelsea FC Welcomes Big Phil

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
Big Phil Luiz Felipe Scolari Comes To Chelsea FC

Move over, Avram – Chelsea have got their hands on a man who may just finally help Blues fans pining for Jose Mourinho to get over their broken hearts. Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has been confirmed as Chelsea’s new coach, taking over at Stamford Bridge after Euro 2008.

He comes with a huge reputation, a glowing CV (albeit more at international level, he hasn’t coached a football club for seven years), and, even better (for the red top tabloids at least), he already has an ace nickname: Big Phil. No need for headline writers to even attempt to squeeze Luiz Felipe Scolari onto the back pages.

But will he actually be any good? Well, time will tell. On the plus …
