The Flora London Marathon 2008

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,

This is the weekend of the year that long distance runners relish and resent both at the same time. Yes, the Flora London Marathon 2008 happens on what we all hope will be a dry and bright Sunday morning. 26 gruelling miles that takes in the tarmac’d streets of London Town.

Because let’s face it when you’re sweating your bollocks off, stitched up like a kipper there’s probably not much chance of looking at anything else. At Bodog Towers we only thought it right to classify the London Marathon runner. According to us there are several categories. If you’re one of those slightly crazier than the rest of us, (ah we’re just jealous because we break a sweat just thinking …

Lily In The Lav

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
Lily Allen

Since losing the fight with a bottle of peroxide the newly blonde Lily Allen has been out to prove that blondes have more fun. Although her barnet is looking more ginger alley cat than blonde bombshell – quite obviously a home job courtesy of the new Amy Winehouse hair dye range.

Whilst partying at the Teenage Cancer Trust show after party daughter of Keith, Allen was thrown out of the gents after strolling in arm in arm with RazorLight’s ego Johnny Borrell and Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding.  The trio roused suspicion as they giggled like school girls crammed into a cubicle. So what could the trio have possibly been up to? A rock and roll ménage a trois? Does it …

Shoot Hoops With The Very Fine Bodog Girls

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
Olya Bodog Girl

Hang about, there’s something in this basketball lark. NBA is big stuff across the pond and for the first time we can see why! Aye anything without a cricket, rugger or football doesn’t usually catch our attention, but we are reformed characters. Fair cop Guv’ banged to rights and all that stuff.

Bodog Girls Olya and Stacey are obviously the secret weapon when it comes to increasing your love of the game. Goddamit we just wish we were that rug, we can but dream!

As you can imagine these lasses are double trouble and very persuasive little vixens too. Beguiling and disarming with all that posturing and gorgeosity, but don’t let their charms distract you from the

Anfield Power Struggle Continues

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
Tom Hicks

You really couldn’t make it up.  Just as Liverpool booked their place in the semis of the Champions League their Texan tycoon owner Tom Hicks has chosen to have a pop at club chief executive Rick Parry.

The grandson of Dandy comic hero Desperate Dan is calling for Parry to resign for siding with co-owner George Gillett. Parry and Gillett were seen together in the directors’ box during the Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal.

Hicks also believes Parry has failed to deliver strength and direction in the transfer market. Whether Hicks is right or wrong he could hardly have picked a worse time to start rocking the Anfield boat again.

Hicks seeks total control …

All Set For Armageddon Day

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
Roman Abramovich

Moscow won´t have been on an alert like this since word got out that Napoleon was on his way with 30,000 troops.

Why it´s enough to make the Kremlin quake. Forget about Rocky Balboa chinning Ivan Drago, those Ruskies won´t know what´s hit them when 70 odd thousand Mancunians and Scousers draw battle lines in Red Square.

It´s by far and away the fiercest and most hateful rivalry in English football. I´m not sure how handy Moscow´s finest are with riot control but they may well need to be with packs of vodka-fuelled supporters on the loose.

Barcelona and Chelsea fans would vehemently disagree but it´s going to be a Liverpool / United Champions League final this year.

It would be a dream …

EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final Preview

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
EPT Monte Carlo

Although it may not be attracting the same level of news coverage as the Beijing Olympic Games, the Grand Final of the EPT, which begins on Saturday at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, promises to be an exciting affair. The casino is holding a welcome party and its organisers are boasting a spectacular night. It will feature circus acts and free drink but is hoped that it won’t need the deployment of suspicious guys in sunglasses and silky pyjamas – they are confident we’ll see enough of that style at the poker tables.

The afternoon after the fire swallowers will see up to 1000 players entered for the showpiece, a NL game with an impressive €10,000 buy in, which …
