Watch Out Becks, Loos Is Doing A 'Posh'

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
becks

Pig botherer and somebody with first-hand experience of handling David ‘Goldenballs’ Beckham has released a single.  The fame hungry, lipstick lesbian, pig fluffer and ‘celebrity’ Love Island contestant has decided that with her ‘fame’ on the wane it’s about time to subject the world to a truly, really truly, awful pigs dick of a song.

Surprisingly it’s actually worse than you’d imagine but Rebecca Loos sticks to what she knows best and it’s all about stealing somebody elses boyfriend. OK to be strictly autobiographical it would need to be about stealing married fathers of three but that’s not very catchy is it.

Unfortunately the track is only catchy in the same way that MRSA is.  Rebecca has somehow managed to come up …

Premier League Previews: Sunderland v Everton

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
keane

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has taken a leaf out of his old mentor Sir Alex Ferguson’s books ahead of his side’s match with Everton this weekend.

“Five major decisions have gone against us… you’re looking at six points lost,“ said the Irishman when analysing refereeing decisions that have gone against his club in the Premier League this term.

Keano, like Taggart, recognises the vital importance of placing referees under pressure and he probably now wishes he’d made a bit more noise about some iffy decisions earlier this season.

But at a stroke relegation threatened Keane has now shifted the media focus to the performance of Sunday’s match ref Alan Wiley. A big gate at …

The Wynn Classic

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,

Although we are still over a week away from the $10,000 main event of The Wynn Classic, Las Vegas, there has already been plenty of action at this festival of poker.

It’s good to see a casino offering a range of tournaments and Tuesday saw talented American Alan Kessler scoop $52, 962 in the $1,000 Omaha Hi/Lo Split event. It had attracted 140 buy ins and offers further proof that players are prepared to vary their games.

However, it is somewhat inevitable that the biggest win so far came in Wednesday’s NL tournament. 258 players dropped a grand in the coffers of the casino and created a prize pool topping $250,000. San Fran resident Nathan Mullen took a baby step towards the …

EPT Polish Open Preview

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
wsop

At first glance poker tournaments and actions of political upheaval appear to have little in common. One usually involves an angry mob intent on smashing the existing social structures and establishing a new order; the other is a revolution.

However the two activities may soon share one thing in common as the forthcoming EPT Polish Open at the Hyatt Regency, Warsaw, will not be televised. Interested spectators will not be able to plug in, turn on and cop out and so will be forced to march to the casino to watch this €5,750 (approx) event. (Would-be revolutionaries confused by these similarities will be reassured that the casino’s dress code does not permit ripped jeans or shorts so they should not find …

UEFA Cup Disasters

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,

So much for the UEFA Cup. After a triumphant week in the Champions League, with victories for Arsenal – a superb first-ever English club success at Milan – Man Utd and Chelsea, the standing of our Premier League clubs in Europe looked as high as ever. Liverpool, of course, could join the other three in the quarter-finals if they don’t fluff a two-goal lead at Inter next week.

So far, so good. But then came last night’s UEFA Cup action, and a trio of English clubs suffered a torrid night. The odds are on all three of them being knocked out of the competition after the return ties next week.

Bolton can at least hold their heads with a certain amount of …

Watch Out For Rodgers, Dwain!

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
dwain

We heard all the big noises surrounding Dwain Chambers, the debate and the uproar. How drugs cheats shouldn’t be able to compete for England etc. But since the 12th IAAF World Indoor Championships have started in Valencia today, all is forgotten (for the time being) and Britain’s best hope has just run his first race.

Chambers won the 60m heat in 6.69 seconds, not quite the blazing form that we had all expected. We have to say though, the pressure (or complacency ) must be getting to our boy Dwain as this time’s quite a departure from his 6.56 sec win in Sheffield last month. That might actually give US sprinter Mike Rodgers a chance to put his money where …

Mum's Gone To Iceland

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,
kerry

Ah remember the good old days when pop stars were wholesome young things? Girl bands were fresh faced and eager to get a piece of stardom. It’s with a heavy yet sadistic heart that we reflect upon Kerry Katona. Look at her here all lithe and lean, pre-Westlife, pre-kids and pre-drugs.

How things change… Anyway it’s been another fun packed week in the wonderful world of Kerry Katona. Celebrity mother of the year 2002 and 2005 is allegedly hoovering up a couple of grams a day four months into her pregnancy and packing in 20 a day between lines. Why the hell not though? As Kerry quite rightly points out you can always wean coke babies off the Charlie once they are born.

FA Cup: Middlesbrough v Cardiff

by Bodog Beat News Ticker,

Football chairmen. Hated, loathed, vilified and that’s just from their own supporters. There are a few exceptions although not many spring to mind. But when it comes to chairman voodoo dolls the current one at Cardiff City takes some beating.

Peter Ridsdale comes across as a pretty knowledgable and personable bloke, in fact he probably is. But the mess he left behind at Leeds United … well… do you remember the final machine gun fight scene in Bugsy Malone?

Leeds fans would argue that he brings a whole new definition to the word ’Giantkiller’ and Ridsdale probably needs an armed guard whenever he returns to his home town.

Whilst in charge at Elland Road …
